How to Get Ready for Your Window Cleaning Appointment
A little prep the day before your window cleaning appointment helps our crew get started as soon as they arrive.
Here's what to take care of ahead of time, and what you can leave to us.
What to do inside your home
Move plants away from your windows. Plants can tip or break when they're moved, so it's best to move them yourself before the crew arrives.
That includes plants on sills and any sitting on the floor in front your windows.
Clear decor off your window sills. This gives the crew room to reach the glass without accidentally bumping your photos and keepsakes.
Open your blinds and curtains. The crew can do this for you, but if you have a minute before they arrive, pulling blinds up and curtains back helps them reach the windows quickly.
Make sure the crew can get in. If your appointment includes cleaning the inside of your windows, please have an adult home or share a door code with us ahead of time.
Leave the furniture to us. If a couch or dresser sits in front of a window, you can leave it where it is. The crew will move it out of the way and put it back when they're done.
What to do outside your home
Unlock your gates. The crew needs to reach the windows on the sides and back of the house, so please leave gates unlocked on the day of your appointment.
Settle your pets in a safe space. The crew will be going in and out of doors and gates, and we want to be sure your pets are safe and sound.
Appointment reminders
We'll text you a reminder the day before your appointment, and again when the crew is on the way.
Common questions
Do I need to be home for exterior-only window cleaning?
It helps if you are. Some homes have screens that latch from the inside, and the crew needs to come in to take them off before cleaning the outside glass.
If you won't be home, please confirm ahead of time that your screens can be removed from outside.
What if it rains after my windows are cleaned?
Pure rainwater dries clear on glass, so a quick shower shouldn’t hurt your window clean. Wind is what causes trouble, because it can blow dirt onto wet windows.
If that happens within 72 hours of your appointment, call us and we'll come back and touch up the exterior windows at no cost to you.
How do I pay?
Once the job is done, you can pay the crew with cash or a check, or we can send you an invoice to pay online with a card.
Please give us 24 hours' notice
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment. Changes made with less than 24 hours' notice may include a trip charge.
